This fine extra soft woollen fabric is perfect for wonderful scarves, stoles and shawls for the cold season! Etamine is the “pongee of the wool fabrics”. It is super soft because the finest merino wool (19.5 micron) is carefully chosen for its production. Wool Etamine can fabulously be dyed with steam fixable silk dye - the colours shine and gleam on this fine fabric! Very impressing are printings on wool with thickened silk dye and shibori-colourations, too. This Etamine does not have to be rumbled, because threads do not loose from the fabric. Edges can neatly be cut or even be torn along a thread. With the method of pulling out threads on the edges decorative fringes can easily and effectively be created. The Etamine is not superwashed, so it should be carefully washed and dyed if you don’t want to felt it. Otherwise, because of the missing superwash finishing this Etamine de laine is ideal for felting projects, in combination with FLYFEL-pads or FLYFEL-tops!
