This is the lightest of the Georgette fabrics. Georgette 08 has a flat silk shimmer and shows a typical moss-like look. It is half transparent, falls very softly and shows - like all silk crêpes - only a slight tendency to wrinkle. That makes Georgette a preferred material for silk scarves and shawls, as well as for blouses. Colors flow nicely on Georgette and are reflected lusciously. All dyeing and silk painting techniques can very well be used. This light crêpe fabric is perfect for Nuno felting because the super fine merino wool can penetrate the silk easily.
