Scarf with fringes

The material: Fine yarn from pure new wool of the width Nm 48. This number indicates the fineness of the yarn of which 48 m weigh just 1 g. The fabric: Etamine de laine also called Mousseline. A light open woven fabric in plain weave. The finish: Washed and dyed according to Öko-Tex standard 100 in a scale of 20 selected colours. Dried on a stentering frame over steam (=sanforised) to get a minimal shrinkage when they are later washed by hand; but without further chemical finish so that the possibility of selective felting with various textile techniques remains. The manufacture: For these scarves the fabric is cut in fabric grain direction to the respective size and carefully hand rolled on the long sides with silk thread of a fitting colour. At the narrow ends fringes of 3 cm are left. The pefect combination: For nuno-felting we recommend our fine woollen tops in fitting shades. Felt delicate flowers onto the surface of the scarf or long fringes onto the ends and your scarf becomes a unique.
