FLYFEL®-wosiweb is a unique super-fine needle punched nonwoven consisting of 80% merino wool and 20% mulberry silk, and weighing only 100g/m².
wosi = wool and silk.
For gossamer felt creations, which are extremely robust, even if used single-layered, due to its large portion of Grade A mulberry silk. Velvety felt-surfaces with an almost metallic silk brilliance can be created with this exceptional fleece.

When it is not ironed out, the look and feel of the delicately shimmering surface-texture is reminiscent of silkworm-cocoons.

For this impressive shiny scarf, an approx. 160x40cm large piece of natural coloured FLYFEL®-wosiweb was simply felted flat. To create this piece, pressure was applied to the middle and the felt was stretched out to the sides. That way a wavy edge is created. After felting, the scarf was first dyed yellow in a pot, shuffled together lengthwise and finally the edges were dip-dyed in red silk paint.
