This pattern is actually not a nuno-felt because nuno means fabric. Nuno felting is therefore the connection of fabric and wool. Here however, only FLYFEL®-web and FLYFEL®-tops, so only merino wool was used. The fleece was cut into narrow strips, the tops in fine strands were laid on top of and underneath the fleece, crosswise and alternating. When everything lays as desired the soapy water is carefully sprinkled onto the wool, using a hand brush and the felting process can be started. A gridded pattern requires a lot of patience and experience with felting. As a beginner you should first try a gridded pattern on a chiffon base, for example a scarf.
