Noble crêpe satin-jacquard, with a discreet butterfly pattern - a wonderful base for colorful water coloring! Simple color gradients are shown to an impressive advantage as well! The flowing, high-gloss crêpe satin is perfect for dresses and blouses as well as for handmade scarves and shawls!

The woven butterflies are ideally suited for incorporation into the motive design. For this example the silk was first primed in pastel shades, and after drying, a bristle brush was used to roughly retrace individual butterflies with wax. Subsequently a second application of colour was performed with stronger shades of colour. After fixing the colours and removing the wax, the outlines of the butterflies were additionally accentuated with light traces of gutta.
