Gabardine

An elegant, deep black woolen fabric with a smooth surface, which almost reminds of satin. If it would not have a fine, woven in diagonal rip that structures the fabric discreetly. The stable gabardine out of high quality merino worsted yarn, feels incredible soft and comfortable - it can be worn on bare skin without hesitation! Despite its high weight and its dense weave, it does not seem heavy but falls flowingly and softly. Both sides of the fabric are easy to distinguish: the front appears a little smoother, the fine rip structure has a nice shine. On the back, the gabardine seems more like fine wool twill with a discreet shine. A wonderful material, very noble and elegant with a soft grip! Perfect for classic business suits, for the little black dress, for warming stoles and light travel blankets. The gabardine should be washed gently because of its high quality merino wool. It should only be ironed on the left side, under a  well-dampened linen cloth. That way it keeps it attractive look for a long time!
