For this fabric, high quality smooth yarns have been woven in an intricate shaft binding, using a jacquard weaving loom. The crepe type structure is created through an elaborate weaving, not through twisted yarns. We account this jacquard to our mousseline and estamenes: it flows like fine cashmere and is extremely movable but at the same time it is still completely shift resistant. The discreet pattern is unequally strong and developed on both sides; which one is the right and which one is the left side of the fabric is up to you. The extremely simple diamond pattern and the open weaving make this fabric also interesting for nuno felting. Also available by the meter. This scarf was first water-colored cross-wise, using discreet earth tones. After drying, warm wax is wholly applied using a wide bristle brush and after the wax layer has cooled off, the whole scarf is crumbled up by hand. The scarf is then stretched again and covered with a layer of deep earth colors. The paint only penetrates the super fine cracks of the wax layer and the typical craquelure effect is created.
