A wonderful silk with higher weave density than the super delicate Chiffon 3.5. Compared to Georgette, it has a more even surface. The comfortably soft grip and the beautiful fall make this silk a very attractive one. The relatively smooth surface can easily be painted and printed. Felters appreciate the perfect characteristics of the Chiffon 06 for the popular Nuno-felting technique, where a fine silk base is wholly or partially covered with fine wool and felted. The felting process works similarly well as with Chiffon 3.5. Because the fabric stays more visible, due to the higher fabric weight, the result is an attractive moss like surface on the fabric.
