This is an example for a free painting on Chiffon 3.5! Silk paint flows not quite as strongly on the dry crepe like fabric as it does on smoother silk (e.g. Pongé). That effect was creatively used in this example: first the scarf was stretched and wholly dampened with water. Colors applied onto this damp ground flow like water colors and prime the scarf in different shades of blue. After drying, several areas were painted with a slightly darker blue. The color flows barely and sharp dried edges were created. Lastly, the whole area was generously accentuated, using thin lines of almost dried paint.
