Chiffon 06

Something special:
A more sturdy but still softly flowing Chiffon 06 with delicate Pongé-stripes in regular spacing. A metallic shining Lurex thread is added to this densely woven lengthwise stripe. The pattern looks the same front and back.

This is an example of a design with the wax technique. Here a bristle brush was used to reserve several lengthwise running stripes on the white silk. Afterwards an application of silk colours in different shades followed, also running lengthwise. After drying further lengthwise running stripes were reserved with wax, and another layer of colour was applied. Thereby the pattern gains particular depth.
